WFF Selects Gary Rach as New Executive Director

A strong endorsement from the board for Rach to move club forward

West Florida Flames is announcing today that its board led by president Joanne Quinn has unanimously chosen Gary Rach as the organization’s next Executive Director.  Rach, who was serving the club as Boys Director of Coaching, will succeed Steve Rammel, who finished out his contract with West Florida Flames and relocated to North Carolina.

“I’m honored, and I’m grateful to the board for the opportunity to lead this exceptional organization,” said Rach.  “Our club has benefited the communities we serve for many years and our programming rivals the best.  This is a terrific opportunity to lead the organization to the next levels of service.”

Gary Rach, 52, holds a bachelor’s in Business Administration from University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky.  He has both NSCAA and Federation licensing.  He joined West Florida Flames in 1989 after moving to Tampa from Hollywood Florida and has served the organizations in many roles.

“Steve Rammel, who was our former Executive Director shared confidence in me to pursue taking the position,” said Rach.  “His confidence along with the board’s support I am excited about the opportunities that present our club for future endeavors.”

“I joined this club many years ago and have enjoyed watching it grow into the level of programming and community service West Florida Flames provides.  We have been working in the offseason to hire highly qualified staff.  This along with our currently talented staff and coaches believe we will continue to enhance the programing choices a family has in playing soccer at our club and in our communities.”
